As you may recall from my previous communication, we are working to meet the needs of the VMUG organization by providing you, the leaders of our Community, with increased VMware updates and executive presence for VMUG meetings. In order to continue to work towards our goal, we asked Steve Herrod to address the VMUG organization by speaking to new products and discussing how we can best connect with the R&D community at VMware. As you will note from this video, Steve also solicits your feedback, and I strongly you encourage you to take advantage of his offer. The Office of the CTO site that Steve references can be found here: http://communities.vmware.com/community/cto?view=overview. For those of you who may not know, besides his CTO role, Steve is also Senior Vice President of R&D for VMware. He was one of the first VMware Engineering Directors and remains a strong champion of engineering innovation. Prior to his role at VMware, Steve co-led the development of a virtual CPU with "Code Morphing" technology at Transmeta Corporation, as part of his now 20-year professional tenure in the field of virtualization. After viewing the video I hope you will find this to be a valuable update from VMware, just as I did, and that you will share it at your upcoming VMUG meeting. The video can be accessed at the link below (note: loading could take a few minutes). · VMUG Video: http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-14003 Should you have any questions or feedback for future videos, I encourage you to contact me. These videos are a result of your feedback and will be continued to be developed based on what you and your members need.
